According to the latest report of IMS Research, Chinese PV inverter manufacturers suffered a severely difficult period. With the export amount reducing a lot, Chinese government improved the domestic PV installation goals. During the fierce international competition, overcapacity and the lower price bring the Chinese PV manufacturers great pressure. Chinese government improves the installation goal from 20GW to 50GW by 2020.

‘In order to revive confidence of photovoltaic industry and solve the great demand for power, the government doubled the former goal. They plan to install 50GW power system before 2020.’ IMS Research senior market analyst Xie Feng said, ‘As the FIT plan ended, the government has transferred clear supporting signal. As long as China can keep the current pv inverter installation speed, we can achieve the goal.’

Chinese PV manufacturers develop difficult in the fierce international competition. In the first half year of 2012, with the reducing of the subsidies, the American anti-dumping had the preliminary result. The European manufacturers have raised the application of anti dumping to the UN. The production of Chinese manufacturers has been at a standstill. Although part of manufacturers has kept the reasonable production level, most of them have stopped production. The average operating rate in the second quarter of 2012 has lower than half.

The GW level inverters’ market share is expected to be doubled in two years. Experts prospect that the demand change of Chinese market will be similar to the European. The roof solar power inverter projects will adopt extensive use of small three-phrase inverters.
